医療まちスコープ helps people explore Japanese public healthcare data by municipality, secondary medical area, hospital and prefecture.
What the site does
It brings published hospital and regional data together with source names, reference periods and notes about how each value is grouped. You can start with a municipality, search for a hospital, follow an official secondary medical area, or compare selected places.

What the data can and cannot say
Counts describe records in their named sources. Hospital facilities and reported beds are grouped by provider location; census and population measures describe residents. These are not measures of patient use, healthcare quality, access, safety, adequacy or current service availability.
Missing, unobserved, uncovered, not-applicable and unknown states are not silently turned into zero. Future population figures are identified as projections.
Data and methods
Each measure retains its own source, reference period, unit, geographic basis and limitations. For details, see Sources and notes and Methodology.
